The Frontexit campaign aims primarily to collect information on the operation of the Frontex agency, its activities and the consequences of these activities on migrants.

The campaign’s members meet key actors and question Frontex, the European institutions and the member states of the European Union through letters. They question Frontex in particular about the accidents in which the agency has played a role in order to identify those responsible.

Several missions, both institutional and field operations, are planned as part of the campaign. The first will take place in 2013 on the Greece-Turkey border. Volunteers are also sent to the field by the Migreurop network. The next departures are planned for April 2013 to Serbia, Greece and Ceuta. The objective is to better understand the political impact Frontex has on the states involved and to gather witness statements.
